About Me

My photo
This is a blog for my son. He has a rare auto immune disease that causes his body to attack food like it would a virus making it impossible for him to eat most any foods with out getting very very sick. This is a record of our ups and downs, doctor visits and procedures. Our trial and error life of finding out what foods are safe for our son to eat and eliminating the ones that are not from his life.

Allergy Results

The verdict is in....
John is allergic to.....

navy beans

Food trials to commence soon! Just have to talk to Dr. M. and John's nutritionalist.

* edited to change green beans to pes. There was a mis-communication over the phone with the allergist

  1. Is it weird I'm happy that peanuts isn't on there? Hopefully, after food trials they still will be ok. That's just such a crazy one to stay away from because they are everywhere! (Well, kinda like milk and soy are everywhere too!)

  2. I don't know when or if we will trial peanuts because they are such a common allergy with such scary reactions. I suppose if he chooses to when he is older I wont tell him "no" but it would be one of the more scary trials.

  3. That makes sense that you wouldn't want to try them. I hope the food trials reveal at least some foods that can he eat worry free! I can't even imagine the excitement and extreme hesitation I'd feel over food trials with your little guy. The possibility of finding food for John but the concern of the plausible reactions too - covering ya'll in prayer as you start this next phase
